Hi, my name is Lauren. You probably already figured that out.
I'm a writer, musician, and film geek all rolled into one. I laugh at inappropriate times. I dance in my car at stoplights. I'm not afraid to rock the keytar. I own a red toaster.
My life has changed dramatically since I first started this blog in 2010. I originally created this blog to document a rock and roll tour that never left the ground. A lot has happened since that first post in March. I graduated from college with no clue what I was doing. I spent a lot of time moping around my parents' house trying to figure out what I should be doing with my life. I got out of the long-term relationship that was making me miserable. I moved into an artist's community in the city. I made a lot of friends, a couple of enemies, and collected a lot of material for a future sitcom. I focused my life on music and writing. I failed to get a "real job." I moved out of the artist's community because it was getting weird, depressing, and kind of creepy. I embraced my failure to get a "real job" and began working for a whole bunch of random people I found on Craigslist.
And here I am! (So rock me like a hurricane!)
Anyway...
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you "lauren vs. reality." Enjoy!

Great band, cool blog.
ReplyDeleteAlso, your blog makes me want to live in a goddamn artists' compound.
